Alabama may have found it’s next Strength and Conditioning Coach

Nick Saban wasted no time finding longtime strength and conditioning coach Scott Cochran’s replacement.

Sports Illustrated reported that Alabama has offered David Ballou the job as the program’s new strength and conditioning coach. Dr. Matt Rhea, Indiana’s Athletic Performance Coach, is expected to go to Alabama with Ballou.

Before the hire was made official, the Crimson Tide was considering Oregon Ducks’ strength and conditioning coach Aaron Feld. Before Feld coached at Oregon, he was under Kirby Smart at Georgia.

Ballou played football at Indiana as a fullback in the late 1990s. He played high school football at Avon, where he coached for 14 years. He has also made stops at Notre Dame and at high school powerhouse IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
